No. It is only a pool for allocation. Recipient gift total and total Christmas spending use amounts allocated to recipients. With zero recipients, gift spending stays $0.00 and the full pool remains unallocated.
Allocated recipient gift spending is divided by the number of recipients. If recipients is zero, average gift is $0.00.
Each relationship has a fixed weight (Family 4, Close friend 3, Other 2, Coworker 1.5). Unlocked recipients share the remaining gift budget in proportion to those weights. Overrides are never changed unless you reset them.
This calculator keeps them in other holiday spending so you can see gift sticker prices separately from extras. School holiday expenses stay in their own total.
