Overview
Molarity measures concentration as moles of solute per liter of solution. It is one of the most common concentration units in chemistry labs.
Moles per liter
Molarity is concentration as moles of solute divided by liters of solution.
Convert milliliters
If your volume is in mL, divide by 1000 before using M = n/V.
Not the same as molality
Molality uses kilograms of solvent—not liters of solution.
